About the Oil Painting Classes
- AGE: We suggest this course for ages 12 and above.
- LEVEL: Perfect for all skill levels. The instructor will always be there to guide and support you.
- MATERIALS: We provide only professional materials, all of which are included in the course fee. The canvas is not included in the course fee; it must be purchased at the studio or you can bring your own.
- SMALL GROUPS: Group sizes are limited to 10 participants, though we typically aim for groups of 8.
- COURSE DURATION: 10 months (9 lessons / 40 sessions of 2 hours each, once a week).
- SCHEDULE: Classes are held once a week. You can reschedule up to two classes per month at no extra cost.
This is an intensive oil painting course covering important topics such as composition, style, the nuances of working with oil paints, and the basics of color theory. Each lesson is dedicated to a specific theme that incorporates all these aspects. Whether you are a beginner or have some painting experience, this course is perfect for you. Let’s take a closer look at what you will learn:
Composition. In this course, you will thoroughly explore the four fundamental principles of composition and how to apply them in painting. Some of these principles will be directly applied to your work under the guidance of the instructor.
Color Theory. You will learn the basic principles of color theory, including tonal value, color harmonies, color balance, and how to apply them in practice.
Materials. You will work not only with oil paints but also get acquainted with techniques involving a palette knife, bristle brushes (in the style of Van Gogh), and ways to mix with other materials such as fluorescent acrylic.
Construction. You will study the basic principles of construction, such as aerial perspective and the rule of thirds. Our teacher will explain in detail how these concepts work and how to use them in your painting.
Remember, the teacher will always be there to assist you. We are passionate about our work and strive to explain it in a way that’s understandable to everyone, even absolute beginners.
Acrylic Painting Course Program
In this lesson, we will learn the basic principles of working with acrylic paint. You’ll discover how to apply it, what to properly dilute it with, and how to create layering in your painting to achieve depth and volume. Each student selects a painting from those available in our studio as part of this lesson.
— Materials: Acrylic, brushes, mediums, pencils, canvas.
— Composition: The 4 fundamental principles of composition. Compositional center. Horizon line. Axis.
— Construction: Learning to create a sketch using proportions.
This lesson will take 4 sessions of 2 hours each.
By the end, you’ll have a painting that you created with your own hands!
In this lesson, we will explore the technique of working with a palette knife. You can choose any photo from the available impasto paintings (over 50 options) and recreate it on your own canvas. The teacher will be by your side, guiding you every step of the way.
— Materials: palette knife, acrylic (heavy body), Texture gel, canvas.
Topics we will discuss: What types of palette knives are available, and which one should you use for different tasks? What types of acrylics are available, and how do you choose the right one for your project?
— Color Theory: What is the Itten color wheel. Warm and cool colors, characteristics of each color. What primary and secondary colors mean. How to mix colors.
To complete one painting using this technique, we will need 4 sessions of 2 hours each.
In this lesson, we will explore an interesting technique called wet-on-wet. Additionally, we will learn how to combine different materials with acrylic, such as markers, oil pastels, and liners. This lesson will broaden your creative horizons when working with acrylics.
— Materials: Acrylic, oil pastels, markers, stencils, sponges, liners, canvas.
— Composition: Mosaic balance. The law of subordination. Dominance in composition.
— Color Theory: Primary and secondary contrasts. Analogous harmony. Complementary harmony. Triadic harmony.
To complete one painting, you will need 6 sessions of 2 hours each (12 hours in total).
In this lesson, we will learn the ancient technique of gilding using gold leaf. This technique has been in use since the Middle Ages and remains impressive to this day! During the lesson, you will choose a photograph of a painting that you will then recreate. Each student will have their own unique painting that reflects their personal taste. Throughout the lesson, the teacher will guide you and explain all the technical details.
— Materials: Acrylic, gold leaf, canvas.
— Composition: Fibonacci Spiral, Golden Ratio, Rule of Thirds.
— Color Theory: Temperature contrast.
It will take 4 sessions of 2 hours each to complete a painting on this topic.
In this lesson, you will enhance your artistic techniques with acrylic. You’ll learn what decorative acrylic is and how to work with it, understand grunge style and how to apply it in your creations, and discover interesting elements of graffiti that can be incorporated into painting.
— Materials: Acrylic, fluorescent acrylic, pearlescent acrylic, mediums
— Construction: Splattering technique, sgraffito technique, squeezing and scratching techniques
— Color Theory: Saturation contrast, color psychology.
This lesson consists of 4 sessions of 2 hours each (8 hours total).
In this lesson, we will learn how to paint shiny surfaces, such as silver or satin. Additionally, we will combine pre-made textured 3D elements with acrylic painting. You will choose a painting from the selection available in the studio (over 50 options). Each student will create their own chosen painting.
— Materials: Acrylic, canvas, 3D elements, stencils, newspapers, texture paste.
— Composition: V-shaped composition
It will take you 4 sessions of 2 hours each to complete one painting.
In this lesson, we will explore the style of Pointillism. This technique involves creating an image using numerous small dots. Pointillism teaches how to work with color and light, creating depth and volume without mixing paints. You will learn about the key artists who worked in this style and master the basic techniques to create your own works in Pointillism.
— Composition: L-shaped composition
— Color Theory: Optical color mixing. Deep, vibrant colors.
It will take 4 sessions of 2 hours each to complete the painting.
In this lesson, we will thoroughly explore how to paint a wave using acrylic paints. You’ll learn how to convey the thickness of water and its movement, how to depict light shining through water, and how to illustrate foam. We will also delve into asymmetrical composition and how it contributes to creating a sense of dynamism.
— Materials: Acrylic paint, texture paste, canvas, palette knife
— Construction: The physics of water depiction, methods for painting different types of waves
— Composition. What is diagonal composition?
— Color Theory: Colors that visually convey light and those that represent shadows. Tonal contrast.
To create one painting, you will need 4 sessions of 2 hours each.
In this lesson, you will learn how to combine two very different types of paint: acrylic and watercolor. This is a new technique with its own nuances. The teacher will guide you step by step on how to apply watercolor to the canvas and at what point to add acrylic. You will also learn about decorative watercolor, which can make your paintings even more memorable!

Payment for the month of classes is required before they start. Your spot in the group is only confirmed after the payment has been received.

You are allowed to reschedule classes up to twice a month at no extra cost. Just make sure to inform the instructor at least 2 hours before the scheduled class time.
The price already includes all the necessary professional materials. You will only need to purchase the canvas (which can be done in our studio during class). It is not included initially because each student selects a picture they like, and the size of the future painting may vary from that of other students’ paintings.

The entire course spans 3 months and comprises 12 sessions (5 lessons). Classes are conducted once a week, each lasting 2 hours.

Certainly! This course is designed for beginners, offering a quick introduction to the world of art. By the end of the course, you will have a solid understanding of art materials, color theory, perspective, and various contemporary techniques.
This course is only available in offline classes.
You can request a refund within 14 days after purchasing the course, provided you haven’t attended more than 1- 2 sessions.
If you attended 1 or 2 sessions during this 14-day period, we will refund your subscription fee minus the cost of these 1-2 sessions.
For example, if you purchased a 1-month subscription for $200 but only attended 1 class, we will refund you $140 by deducting $60 (the cost of the lesson you attended) from the initial $200.
If you never attend a class and notify us of your absence, we will refund the entire amount.
